Carol, Sandy, Janet and Joan are ecstatic by the response they are receiving as they provide basic hygiene education, including hand sewn pads for girls and women that are life changing in this culture.  Girls who often miss school and remain in solitude at home now have a new freedom!  Bill and Dan and some of the other team members listen intently as Martin shares some of his life stories – is it possible to grasp this is reality not Hollywood?

Martin lived through being abducted from his village to live as a boy soldier under Joseph Koni’s army, “The Lord’s Resistance Army”.  Martin was able to escape the army, find his way to a center for rehab and heard about Jesus Christ.  He is now active in the church in Gulu and is one of the team members of the Stream of Life Drilling Water Project trained to dig wells.

Oz and Hal met with the Stream of Life Drilling Water Project Team, making plans for upcoming well locations.

Anthony, one of the water team members, has a serious medical condition.  Sandy and Carol have been able to advise him and encourage him to continue taking medication for his condition.  After meeting with the water team in Gulu, Mark had an opportunity to teach at the hotel on how to start a business – very practical and helpful information for those listening!  And one last meeting of the day – the privilege of meeting and talking with a British missionary, new to the area who is a water and sanitation engineer.

Sometime between the busy coming and going, if you know Oz, you might not be surprised to hear he managed to fashion an effective TV antenna out of aluminum foil candy wrappers!  The one and only Ugandan TV channel now comes in nice and clear!
